I drew Batgirl... just like a billion other people

I drew this Batgirl for the Meme (i.e. a bunch of people drawing Batgirl).

Here is the link: http://himynameisjamie.livejournal.com/483895.html

I realize that my version is in no way a girl, but I like drawing plump, attractive women wearing capes and masks.

Just messing with textures

I'm working on adding textures to my flat colors in order to make them more intersting. This is my first attempt.

A Threadless entry...

My Threadless.com Submission

Please vote on my threadless shirt. The more 5's and "I'd Buy It"'s that I get the more chance that they make the shirt. Thanks for checking it out.

2 illustrations and a sketch

This was originally a concept for a screen printed poster (2 color) but it works well with the IllustrationFriday.com theme this week.

I did this for Mike Maihack's Cow and Buffalo book.

I just drew this thing.

Also, my buddy Tyson and I are finishing up a show poster for the band Islands. We went through a lot of ideas and revisions and we finally used one of my old illustrations. Tyson is doing some amazing texture work to it, and the colors are really messed, so it's gonna be great. I'll post it when it's done and printed, so I can post a photo of the print as well. We should have them for sale when they are ready.

Illustration Friday number 2

Here is my second try for Illustration Friday. The topic is "Smitten" so I thought this was kinda funny.

Digital Inking

This is my first attempt at digital inking. I saw that the guy at Penny-Arcade inks digitally. He posted a video of his process, so I tried it out. It was really nice to work on the details.

This is just a sketch I did.

Snow before Halloween

It's only October 12th... My wife took these pictures from our back porch today. Michigan is pretty much Canada.

My first illustration for "Illustration Friday"

The theme is Quiet, so this is what I came up with. Scott Franson, a professor of mine from BYU-Idaho told me to try it out, so here I am. I hope someone likes what I post.

Page 10...sucks!

This is the last page I have inked.

I've started to realize that these pages are not that great. I like the story, and about 10% of the panels, but I think I just rushed the rest of it, and it ends up being a little sloppy and boring. I want to redo these pages before I continue with the rest of the story.

You can tell me what you think if you want.
