New Website Header Work in Progress
Small revision of the header for my website redesign. Please click HERE (Small) and HERE (Large) to tell me if you like the little rollover animations that go with this. I plan on using this as the header to every page on my website. All critiques are welcome. And remember this is still a work in progress.

Mr. Sensitive, 8-bit and some Works in Progress
Mr. Sensitive/Orphan is one of my favorite superheroes ever. Check him out in the best fun of X-Force and then later in X-Statix.
This is an illustration for Guide magazine. The article is about a kid going to see his friend at a barn. On the way he passes a tree and his mother at his home. I tried to go for some generic 8 bit stuff here, mixing Super Mario Bros. with PacMan. It was really fun working in pixels this way. I used photoshop set at a really low resolution and size to create this.
I'm still messing around with Painter. This is a work in progress. I'm using the acrylic brushes and I'm finding that the end result isn't very different from my exercises with acrylics in college. I also remember why I stopped using them as well.
A sketch for a new avatar.
I'm working on a website redesign and this is how I have my header right now. I would appreciate any critiques on this how it is now. I would like to make any necessary art changes now, before I start trying to make this work in a website.
If you visit Kalamazoo, go eat at Taco Bob's. Trust me. (Please excuse the gross facial stubble, this was a few days after Thanksgiving.)

A Logo? New Stuff? Painter?
I made up a logo for myself. This could totally change next week. Would it look good on a shirt?
This is a recent spot illustration for Insight Magazine. The article is about the effects of certain drinks (including sports drinks) on teeth.
I'm trying to push myself to do more characters that have normal adult proportions so I can find more work in the magazine sector of publishing.
This is my first try at painter. I used a lot of the same techniques that I use in photoshop so it went pretty easy for me.
I tried some watercolor stuff in Painter. I like some of the effects quite a bit, especially the texture of the salt brush.

Rain in China, Sketches, Pumpkins and Hair Pulling
Illustration for Guide Magazine. The article was about a family vacationing in China that helped a man that was in a car accident there. I'm really happy with the way the rain turned out.
Some recent sketches done one night after the girls and my wife went to sleep. I am really thinking about using the lightning-bolt guy as a logo, I like it a lot. If anyone wants to see more of any of these characters please just tell me which one and I'll keep drawing him/her/it.
This was my design for one of our Halloween pumpkins. My favorite part is the sorting hat.
This is the actual carved pumpkin + a few days, which = kinda junky. Though I had to make some edits while I was carving (to simplify) I am sad that the wand and the bottom of Harry's face are gone in this pic. They didn't look bad when I first carved them.
My baby is cute but beware, she can also hurt you pretty bad. (Note the expression of pain on my face. She pulls hair like no other.)
